Whenever I am getting extremely anxious about almost finishing something (like the status I am in now), I am starting to lose patience. Rather than focusing on the quality of the work I can deliver, I just get overwhelmed by the thought that 'I just wanna get this done with!!'. I even feel too anxious writing this down.
I remember when I started watching tennis as a young teen, one thing a commentator said really got stuck in my head that I should let it inspire me in my study:
"What is the difference between a good player and a great champion?"
That is, even in the most adverse situation or a match that is so close to the end, he or she does not think about winning or losing the game, set, match. A champion, at that moment, when he puts his feet on the court, only thinks about hitting the next ball.
He stares at it, and that is everything he focuses on. The next ball.
